“Tokyo Ghoul:re” Episode 17 is going to cover a lot of ground in the manga’s plotline similar to what viewers saw in the previous run. By now, it’s no secret that this installment will be the last for the franchise and the fate of ghouls and humans will finally be decided, OtakuKart reported.
Before that can happen, however, Kaneki will still need to go through a lot of obstacles, with Furuta being the biggest one. While the previous installments already revealed that Furuta is an antagonist that is quite dangerous, his presence will pose an even greater threat as he’s going to be the new head of the CCG. “Tokyo Ghoul:re” Episode 17 will probably set up the plans of Furuta and how he means to execute them.
It goes without saying that Furuta's machinations will be twisted given that he has a deep nihilistic nature. And with him having the CCG at his disposal, Kaneki will surely find it difficult to stop this madman. Fortunately, Kaneki has his own organization to rely on, called the Goat, a faction that will make an appearance in “Tokyo Ghoul:re” Episode 17.
The organization’s goal is to create a society where ghouls and humans can live harmoniously. Of course, this is quite a difficult task to accomplish given that ghouls are above the food chain compared to humans. Still, Kaneki is still determined to transition this vision into a reality and the character might provide some insight in “Tokyo Ghoul:re” Episode 17 regarding how he means to achieve this.
Readers of the manga should be ready to see a lot of sequences not included in “Tokyo Ghoul:re” Episode 17 as this season will be cramming 120 chapters into just 12 episodes. The next episode will be airing a few hours from now and viewers can’t wait to know which scenes were skipped and which were added.
