The previous chapter of “The Promised Neverland” was quite the surprise for a lot of readers because of how it brought back one of the central characters of the manga; Norman. Where most people believed that he was dead or in the possession of the demons, he was actually leading an entire village as William Minerva. However, will this happy reunion in “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 119 be short-lived with Norman betraying his friends to the demons soon?
For the most part, Emma and her group have already been through too much to allow themselves to get captured by the demons via some contrived trap. However, a familiar face might be enough to get the strong-willed girl to lower her guard, and this is where Norman could come in. Will their meeting in “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 119 after such a long time be as heartwarming as TheAnimeScrolls predicts?
On the surface, perhaps it will be. Ray would likely also be quite happy to see his friend again after thinking that he was dead for two years. However, “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 119 could be the beginning of a new kind of nightmare for the children. Much of this is due to the simple fact that this is the kind of world that the manga portrays.
The moment that Emma and her group see any kind of hope, it is dashed and replaced with devastation. The gifted protagonist might have been strong enough to resist giving in to the grief, so far, but she might not survive the betrayal of someone she loves. Then again, it’s quite possible that the reunion in “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 119 would be a wholesome one.
Norman could have escaped on his own to establish a safe haven for humans. It would simply be naïve to believe that this is truly the case at face value. Regardless, “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 119 will be dropping on Jan. 21. Readers will get their answers soon enough.
