“The Conners” episode 2 for season 1 is up next after a shocking pilot of the “Roseanne” spinoff. The show is actually the continuation of the "Roseanne" revival that was on air for just a short time. Now, it returned again but without Roseanne Bar.
“The Conners” episode 2 will show the family still grieving from losing the Conner matriarch, who they initially thought to have passed away due to a heart attack. As the family deals with the grief over her passing, new details about the cause of her death were revealed and this shocked the family.
According to the coroner’s report, Roseanne did not die from a heart attack but from an opioid overdose. Dan was flabbergasted because he thought that his wife had stopped taking the prescribed painkillers after her knee surgery. Later, Becky found a bottle of the pill inside her mom’s closet and it looks like Roseanne became addicted to it and hid it from her husband.
“The Conners” season 1 episode 2 is titled “Tangled Up In Blue” and according to ABC's press release, its synopsis reads: “Darlene is in for one surprise after another when David introduces his girlfriend, Blue (Juliette Lewis), at a parent-teacher conference and mentions that Mark and Harris will be spending the weekend with them.”
It added, “Dan hires Becky to help out at work, but they both come to learn that she might need more help than she can offer.”
“The Conners” season 1 episode 2 will feature four guest stars, namely Juliette Lewis (Blue), Justin Long (Neil), Lindsay Kraft (Mrs. Reynolds) and Stephen Monroe Taylor (Dwight). As per TV Line, Johnny Galecki returned to the show to reprise his role in the "Roseanne" series as David Healy. The episode was written by Darlene Hunt and directed by Bob Koherr.
Meanwhile, episode 2 was originally titled “The Separation of Church and Dan” and it has a different synopsis. It seems this will not be aired anymore and the reason for its cancellation is not clear.
“The Conners” season 1 episode 2 is slated to air on Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
