“The Conners” Episode 8 will be setting up a family conflict between Darlene (Sarah Gilbert) and Becky (Lecy Goranson) that is expected to ripple out in future episodes. While the spin-off of “Roseanne” isn’t doing particularly well compared to its original source, the ratings of the new series aren’t to scoff at either.
Right now, the family-oriented sitcom is pulling in 7 million viewers a night, CheatSheet reported. And with the show slowly heating up, it’s likely that it will one day stand side by side with “Roseanne” ratings-wise. As mentioned earlier, “The Conners” Episode 8 will have the family deal with a secret that’s being closely guarded.
Showrunners are keeping a tight lid what this secret is and fans should tune in on the show’s upcoming episode to know what it is. Apart from this tension, however, character development will also be touch upon on “The Conners” Episode 8.
Currently, a lot of fans are curious where Darlene and Ben (Jay R. Ferguson) stands as their relationship just recently started. And it started in a rather messy way. The previous episode saw that the characters already had sexual intercourse despite the fact that Darlene is Ben’s employee. Everyone knows that workplace romance is a recipe for disaster and this may be the case for both these characters somewhere along the line. “The Conners” Episode 8 may expand this narrative further in order to explore more about this new found flame.
Those who have watched the previous episode initially thought that Ben and Darlene’s encounter was only a one-time deal but the characters managed to be honest with each other by the end of it. Ben explained that he’s “used to be the only alpha in a relationship” and Darlene felt the same way. The two made an agreement that they’re going to work things out and see where this new journey leads them. As for when “The Conners” Episode 8 will air, it’s scheduled for release on Dec. 11.
