“The 100” season 6 has now completed its production six months after it was renewed by CW Network. The announcement came while season 5 is still airing, signifying that the sci-fi drama is one of the top programs in the broadcasting network.
Moreover, the previous reports about “The 100” season 7 also proved to be correct. It can be recalled that CW’s president Mark Pedowitz revealed that showrunner Jason Rothenberg has plans for more seasons beyond five and indeed the seventh installment is coming.
"He may have a six or seven-year plan to it,” Pedowitz said last year. “I don't know if I'm allowed to even say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does."
What’s more, with the show’s very good performance and being a consistent top-rater, there is no way that it will not be renewed again after “The 100” season 6. Fans did not doubt it will get more episodes and they were right.
Plot
“The 100” season 6 will simply continue the story after the team escaped from the chaotic Earth. They will wake up from the cryosleep after more than a hundred years and find that Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) and Harper (Chelsey Reist) are not around anymore. Instead, Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) will find Jordan, the couple’s 27-year-old son.
Jason Rothenberg divulged that “The 100” season 6 will present a story and scenarios that the viewers have never seen before. The team will land in a new world and based on the teaser photos, the new planet looks like a barren land with beautiful nature.
Further, the team will have a new leader in “The 100” season 6 and he is someone who rules the planet that they landed on. A few of the individuals they met on the new land is someone called Russell (J.R. Bourne) and he will play "a visionary and pioneer" who oversees peace in the new world.
Air Date
“The 100” season 6 has been confirmed to return on April 30 at 9 p.m. on CW. The show will replace “Roswell” as it wraps up its season run.
