‘The 100’ Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers: Will Clarke Marry Bellamy? Showrunner Shares BTS Photos

The 100/Twitter

"The 100" season 6 is already in the works and filming started shortly after the conclusion of the fifth installment. The finale aired last month, and based on the ending, fans can somehow see where the popular sci-fi drama is heading, so there are a lot of predictions that mostly make sense.

The good news is that after “The 100” season 6, there is a big possibility that a seventh sequel awaits fans. In fact, The CW president Mark Pedowitz mentioned this when the show was renewed a few months ago.

During at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, Digital Spy quoted him as saying, “He (executive producer Jason Rothenberg) may have a six or seven-year plan to it. He has plans beyond season 5.”

For a bit of spoiler before it premieres, here are the rest of the details that we know:

First off, it was confirmed that there will be a massive time jump between “The 100” season 6 and the previous season. The survivors in the apocalyptic chaos on Earth were put to cryosleep and they will wake up in a new land.

Sadly, Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) and Harper McIntyre (Chelsey Reist) secretly refused to sleep, which led to their death. As per Express, the two died after escaping from Earth. Apparently, they did not sleep but took care of everything so that their companions can land somewhere safe and be able to survive.

What Will Happen Next?

Now, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy (Bob Morley), who were some of those who were put to cryosleep, will be the first to wake up after 125 years. Rather than finding Monty and Harper, they will be surprised to see someone they have not seen before and it turned out that he is the pair’s 27-year-old son who will eventually take his parents' place.

Clarke and Bellamy

They made it to another planet and safely landed. The next question is, will Clarke and Bellamy get married in “The 100” season 6?

The plot for the sixth season is expected to keep drawing some inspiration from the book it is based on. Although the show’s EP, Jason Rothenberg, previously stated that the duo only has a platonic relationship, things could still change in the upcoming episodes.

Besides, in the books, Clarke and Bellamy are currently engaged, so there is a possibility that this will be adapted in the TV version too.

While the actors or the producers do not really share major spoilers or hints on what will actually take place in “The 100” season 6, Rothernberg’s recent Twitter updates can pass as spoilers.

On Sept. 11, he posted a series of behind-the-scenes images while the actors work on the set and it confirmed some of the returning cast members, who include Murphy (Richard Harmon), Emori (Luisa D'Oliveira), Miller (Jarod Joseph), Jackson (Sachin Sahel), Shaw (Jordan Bolger) and Echo (Tasya Teles).

Air Date

“The 100” season 6 has no premiere date yet and filming is still ongoing. However, if it will be based on the series’s usual air date, it could premiere in May 2019.
