(NASDAQ:BSFT), a global leader in cloud business software for unified communication as a service (UCaaS), and provider of collaboration and contact center as a service (CCaaS), today announced that it retained its number-one position in UCaaS new line shipments, and grew its market share from 42.6% to 49.4% according to Synergy Research Group, an industry research analyst.1

BroadSoft also maintained its leading UCaaS installed base market share at 45%; which is more than three times greater than the next closest competitor.
According to a recent Gartner report, cloud-based telephony licenses will increase by 17.9% in 2017, while premises-based license shipments will decline by 5.2%. Furthermore, Gartner forecasts that cloud-based shipments will surpass premises-based shipments by 2020.2
