“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 5 provides viewers with a few answers as to what is currently happening to Kirito in the real world and what Asuna is doing about it. It would seem that he is in a coma and is trapped in the virtual realm that he was working on. In an effort to save him, Asuna goes on the offensive and tries to find answers with her friends’ help.
It’s more than likely that Asuna is not quite sure of what Kirito is going through right now, but “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 5 highlights some of the issues that pertain to the real world. As Comic Book reports, this particular season has set itself apart from the first two because of how it chooses to split its focus. This is a breath of fresh to fans of the series and has even managed to bring some of the critics around to give it a chance.
Coming back to “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 5, the episode sees Asuna doing her best to find a solution to Kirito’s current predicament instead of just staying at home and wringing her hands. With the help of her friends, she finally gets to the point where she even travels to a facility in the middle of an ocean. This is where answers to questions that she and viewers may have regarding Kirito’s condition.
What spurs Asuna on to take action is the fact that after Kirito was transferred to a specialized facility, she was no longer permitted to visit him. Smelling a conspiracy at work, she starts an investigation of her own. It’s starting to look like Kirito is not even in the hospital that he was supposed to have been transferred to, making “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 5 more of a detective episode.
