“Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 8 is expected to feature some truly exciting fight scenes between Levanteinn and Kirito. The two are going at it to see who is stronger even though the former has already been number one in the academy for a while. On that note, Kirito did get a new sword, so many fans might be expecting him to unleash some over-powered move. However, this might not be the case.
From the outside, it’s clear that this new series is a bit humbler in terms of how it presents Kirito, but not by much. The protagonist still retains skills that he had in the past and he still has plot armor. Even so, “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 8 might just be the first time that he becomes an actual good main character.
Many have criticized this series for not only relying too much on an over-powered character but also for convenient plot twists. This has not been present too much in this season, but it does come with its own set of problems. Even so, in the match featured in “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 8, Kirito might finally come up against an obstacle he can’t plow his way through.
After all, “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 8 is where he will face against the strongest swordsman in their academy. What’s more, Levanteinn is said to have royal blood, which supposedly makes him stronger than the average person. It’s more than likely that this will only serve to fuel Kirito’s greatness once he beats Levanteinn, but one can still hope that this will not be the case.
“Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 8 is expected to air on Nov. 24. If Kirito does end up losing against his opponent, it might actually make him more than just a cardboard cutout of a protagonist.
