“Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 7 will bring the show back to the Underworld where it would appear that a major time jump just occurred. Viewers will basically see that two years will have passed and that both Kirito and Eugeo have entered the academy for learning swordsmanship. It would also appear that during that time, a lot of things were skipped, including the Zakkaria Tournament arc.
In this web preview of “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 7, it’s clear that both Kirito and Eugeo have become students of some sort. Those who only watch the anime might not know this already, but light novel readers will be aware that the pair has made it to Central City. More than that, they have enrolled in an elite school for swordsmen.
From the time that they left Eugeo’s hometown, two years will already have passed, as well. This is to be expected since time does move faster in the Underworld than it does in the real world. In any case, “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 7 will showcase the current situation of Kirito and his friend. They still have not found Alice, but they seem to be well on their way to doing that.
In fact, it would appear that “Sword Art Online Alicization” Episode 7 will actually skip some parts of the light novel stories, including the Zakkaria Tournament. A Tweet by a fan of the show says as much and so do others in other parts of the web.
“Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 7 "Swordcraft Academy" preview screenshots,” the Tweet reads. “We'll skip the whole Zakkaria events and the Tournament.”
