Another false report involving Suri Cruise is circulating on the web as Grazia U.K. (via InTouch Weekly) is claiming that Tom Cruise wants to be part of his daughter’s life. According to the magazine, an inside “source” told them that the “Top Gun” actor has been contacting Suri for several months now and “has made it clear that he wants to be part of her life again.”
The unknown source adds that Tom Cruise has been sending his daughter gifts and letters in an attempt to connect with the 12-year-old, an approach that is supposedly working. However, given that the “Mission Impossible” alum is still involved with the Church of Scientology, it’s highly unlikely that he’s going to be part of Suri Cruise’s life anytime soon.
The reason for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s divorce is said to have been caused by the actor’s deep involvement with the organization. The Church of Scientology supposedly doesn’t want the actor near Katie Holmes as the “Dawson Creek” alum has been branded as a Suppressive Person (SP). An SP is someone who the organization describes as having an antisocial personality. And since Suri Cruise is the daughter of Katie Holmes, the Church of Scientology allegedly forbids Tom Cruise to see the young girl.
What’s more, the custody agreement between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes regarding their daughter is such that the actor is allowed to visit Suri Cruise for 10 days each month. However, the last time that Tom Cruise was spotted with his daughter was back in September 2013, shortly after his divorce with Holmes was finalized.
Add the fact that Katie Holmes is quite protective of her daughter and this claim by Grazia seems more like a fabrication. This isn’t the first time that a tabloid has published an article regarding Tom Cruise supposedly wanting to be part of his daughter’s life. In July, OK! ran an article claiming that the “Risky Business” actor is ready to leave the Church of Scientology in order to forge a new bond with Suri Cruise.
A few months later, that claim was proven false and this claim by Grazia is likely the same. Until Tom Cruise himself announces that he will be leaving the organization for good, the chances of him returning to Suri Cruise’s life are slim to non-existent. This is doubly true since the actor’s loyalty to the organization is as solid as ever.
