Suri Cruise is becoming more and more the little-me version of her mother, Katie Holmes, as evidenced by the recent photos of the pair. The photos were taken this Saturday in New York City, with the mother-daughter duo looking fashionable as they spent quality time together, Daily Mail reported.
When evening draped over the city, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were spotted attending an event together, which was held aboard the superyacht Utopia IV in NY. Although the two came to the party together, the duo spent the night separately. While this might spark yet another rumor of a fight between the two, Suri Cruise’s mom and the “Django” actor are known to practice an unorthodox way of dating. And this might be one of those unusual practices.
Whatever the case, it seems Jamie Foxx still enjoyed the party and was even a DJ at some point during the evening. While Foxx and Katie Holmes have been dating since 2013, they don't mix their personal lives with their romance. As such, Suri Cruise has been largely out of the narrative when it comes to her mother dating the “Law Abiding Citizen” star.
But this doesn’t stop gossip publications from writing false claims about the 12-year-old. One of the rumors published about Suri Cruise is that she supposedly isn’t too fond of Jamie Foxx dating her mother.
An article published by Woman’s Day Australia claimed that Suri Cruise’s dislike of Jamie Foxx stems from the fact that the actor is a womanizer. What’s more, the tabloid claims that the 12-year-old doesn’t want Katie Holmes crying over the cheating ways of her boyfriend. Of course, this is but a rumor and the narrative shouldn’t be taken as fact, especially given the magazine’s untrustworthy reputation.
What’s true regarding Suri Cruise is she’s still trying to live her life as normally as she can. While being the child of popular celebrities does come with its perks, it’s also quite taxing for the young girl.
For instance, it’s hard for Suri Cruise to make friends as Katie Holmes is quite protective of her daughter, so much so that families are vetted first before a child can become close friends with the girl. However, the “Dawson's Creek” alum seems to be loosening her grip on the 12-year-old as Suri is now attending school after years of being homeschooled.
The institution in question is Sacred Heart Catholic School, a prestigious academy that has a history of producing quality individuals. While this may be liberating for Suri Cruise, she still has to work hard in school in order to please her mom. Katie Holmes revealed that she has high expectations of her daughter and teaches the 12-year-old that effort is what truly matters, a lesson that will surely pay off in the future.
