“Suits” season 9 is going to be the legal drama’s final installment but it is also the start of an all-new relationship for Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht). These characters surely played the will they/won’t they game for a long time. But now that they have admitted their feelings for each other, does it guarantee a happy ending for the Darvey ship?
It can be recalled that the very last moment of season 8 was when Harvey knocked on Donna’s door. There were no words said but they exchanged a passionate kiss to send a message to fans that, after eight years, their relationship is finally sealed. However, the length of time they have been working together does not ensure a smooth sailing “Suits” season 9.
Better late than never. Catch up on the can't-miss season finale of Suits On Demand NOW.

Series creator Aaron Korsh previously told TVLine that the romantic relationship between Donna and Harvey will feel new at some point. For example, the way they communicate will have to change now that they are not simply colleagues. “If you want to say they’ve had these feelings that they repressed or were unable to communicate for all these years, [then Donna and Harvey are] not the world’s best communicators with each other, and they’re going to have to learn how to do that,” Korsh explained.
Korsh promised fans will see in most “Suits” season 9 episodes how Donna and Harvey navigate through a new dynamic in their relationship. “We’re going to explore how they handle this newfound relationship,” said the showrunner.
Meanwhile, for fans who are still confused about the status of Donna’s relationship with Thomas (Sasha Roiz) as of the season 8 finale, Korsh confirmed they have already broken up. He revealed that the breakup scene was cut from the episode, but Donna and Harvey are officially a couple in “Suits” season 9.
The specific release date of “Suits” season 9 is still unknown. But it is confirmed to premiere in summer, so the first episode could be out by mid-July.
