Subway is debuting panini-style sandwiches, and they are currently being tested in select stores in the United Kingdom. Customers can try the Panini SubMelts for free in participating stores starting Wednesday, March 16.
According to The Daily Mail, the Panini SubMelt sandwiches that customers can get for free tomorrow are the Philly Cheesesteak SubMelt, Americano Pizza SubMelt, and Bombay Tikka SubMelt. Fans who would like to grab the chance for free Paninis can avail these at Subway stores from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. only.
Once the window to avail of the new paninis is over, people can buy these Footlong SubMelts from £5.99. These will be sold at Subway outlets until supplies last. The free offering will be restricted to one Panini SubMelt per person, and the freebie promo period is running until Friday, March 18.
The panini-style form upgraded Subway’s Footlong sandwiches. These are also stuffed with a generous amount of favorite ingredients such as tuna, meatballs, and more.
As mentioned on Delish, the three Panini SubMelts to try at Subway include the Philly Cheesesteak SubMelt, which is made with Philly-style steak pieces, melted double cheese, onions, peppers, and signature Chipotle Southwest Sauce.
The Bombay Tikka SubMelt is a sandwich with succulent chicken breast slices covered in Indian spices. It also has melted double cheese, garlic aioli, onions, peppers, and sweet onion relish.
Lastly, the Americano Pizza SubMelt features salami, smoked ham, and marinara sauce. It is also served with onions, peppers, and double cheese. Now, since these Paninis are still on trial, they will only be available at the following Subway stores starting March 18: Tottenham Court Road; South Road, Waterloo, Liverpool; Newport Road, Albrighton, Shropshire; Woodfield Street, Morriston, Swansea; Commercial Road, Portsmouth; High Street, Evesham, Worcestershire; King Street Thetford; and three more locations.
Meanwhile, once the trial for the panini-style footlong sandwiches is over, Subway may be releasing them nationwide in the U.K. The sandwich company has yet to announce when it will be ending the trial run. The free paninis are not offered in other countries at this time.
