Subway introduces a soaring dining concept: "Subway in the Sky." Aboard a sandwich-shaped airship, diners will savor Subway favorites 1,000 feet high. This ambitious venture is part of the Eat Fresh Refresh campaign, transforming dining into an aerial adventure.
As per CNBC, this latest gimmick is the climax of Subway's Eat Fresh Refresh campaign. Diners who will try out the Subway in the Sky experience will hop on a 180-foot airship, and once up in the air, they will be served with the chain's sandwiches.
The blimp was designed to look like a footlong sandwich with cold cuts, meats, veggies, and cheese. The other side of the aircraft is filled with Subway's name and logo. The restaurant announced that it will open its flying restaurant next month.
Appealing to its customers, the sandwich chain said in its latest promotional activity, "Here's your chance to experience the heights Subway has reached since beginning our transformation journey in 2021."
In a separate press release, the restaurant said, "The Subway in the Sky will stop in cities across the U.S. as it soars through the sky in September, including Kansas City, Atlanta, Orlando and Miami."
The fast-food will accommodate up to 40 customers daily and just seven passengers per trip. Customers can expect their Subway dining experience in the air to last for about 30 minutes. The chain said flights are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., but dates and times may change depending on weather conditions.
Subway will be handing out lunchboxes to passengers before they board the blimp. The meal consists of four new Deli Hero sandwich samplers, which customers are guaranteed to enjoy in their "sandwich flight."
Meanwhile, Subway said that tickets to ride its flying restaurant are free, but diners must act fast to grab them as many are interested in the Subway in the Sky experience. This is a first come, first serve offer and requires registrations.
To book a seat, customers may visit Register.SubwayInTheSky.com to reserve and see more details. The available flights and schedule are Sept. 5 to 7 - Kansas, Missouri; Sept. 19 to 20 - Orlando, Florida; and Sept. 24 and 26 - Miami.
