Fans of the popular Cartoon Network series created by Rebecca Sugar are still waiting for the release of “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26. Unfortunately, a recent report suggests that it might still take about a month before the animated series continues its story.
Anyone who has been following Sugar’s animated series knows that an indefinite hiatus is not new in the franchise. In this particular case, the 25th episode of the current season premiered on July 21, during the San Diego Comic-Con and was released on Cartoon Network’s website the following day. This means fans have now been waiting for more than a month to see “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26.
Unfortunately, Otakukart reported on Sunday that the wait could even be extended to more than two months. There are speculations that say the possible release of “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26 could happen within the next three weeks at the time of Otakukart’s report. With that, fans are now looking at a possible two-month hiatus since Steven first met White Diamond.
This particular hiatus might have been more agonizing to some fans. As mentioned, episode 25 was the very first time that the Crewniverse showcased White Diamond at length. Steven and the other Gems hoped that she will help them fix the chaos on Earth. But whether or not she agrees to their request is likely a topic to be discussed in “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26.
Earlier in August, some fans on Reddit thought that the wait for “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26 will not take much time. Some fans hoped that “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26 would air in August considering that the Crewniverse wrapped up their work on the upcoming “Steven Universe: The Movie.”
On the other hand, another possible indication that “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26 might not be airing soon is the fact that episode 25 has not yet aired on TV. With that, another fan suggested the possibility that “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 26 will be released on TV on the same day as episode 25, with the likelihood that these episodes will complete a two-part arc.
