BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 17, 2017 -- Sophos (LSE:SOPH), a global leader in network and endpoint security, announced today that it has been named as the "Overall Winner" in the Network Security category of CRN®’s 2017 Annual Report Card (ARC) awards program, winning all three sub-categories for the second year in a row. In addition, Kris Hagerman, the chief executive officer at Sophos, and Kendra Krause, the vice president of Global Channels at Sophos, have been named to CRN’s 2017 list of Top 100 Executives.
The Annual Report Card summarizes results from a comprehensive survey that details solution provider satisfaction across product innovation, support and partnership for the hardware, services and software vendors they team up with. This year’s group of honorees was selected from the results of an in-depth, invitation-only survey by The Channel Company’s research team. More than 3,200 solution providers were asked to evaluate their satisfaction with more than 60 vendor partners in 22 major product categories.
The 2017 list of Top 100 Executives annually recognizes leaders from the technology industry who have played an integral role in shaping today’s IT channel, whether by driving huge cultural shifts, creating rich new opportunities, or forging innovative routes to success. As part of CRN’s list of Top 100 Executives, Kris Hagerman has been named as a Top 25 Innovator, with Kendra Krause being named as a Top 25 Sales Leader.
"Sophos is a next-generation IT security company with a ‘channel first’ focus throughout our business," commented Kendra Krause, vice president, global channels at Sophos. "I am proud that once again the efforts of Sophos and our leadership team have been recognized by those we serve. From development to marketing, Sophos puts the needs of its channel at the heart of its operations and continues to invest in innovative technologies and programs to protect customers worldwide. The growth of our business reflects the growth of our channel partners, as we work together to drive the IT security market forward."
In its most recent earnings announcement for the 12 months ending March 31, 2017, Sophos posted strong performance with total reported billings growth of more than 18 percent. Sophos now has approximately 30,000 registered channel partners across the globe, with more than 6,000 blue chip partners transacting in the last six months.
"An ARC Award is a truly meaningful honor, representing direct affirmation from channel partners of the quality and ingenuity of a vendor’s product, support and partnership," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "CRN’s Annual Report Card project gives solution providers an opportunity to provide their unique perspective on vendors’ offerings and partner programs, and in turn gives technology suppliers valuable, actionable feedback. I extend my sincerest congratulations to each of this year’s ARC Award winners."
