SharpLink Gaming (NASDAQ: SBET) has stepped up its Ethereum-focused strategy, increasing its holdings to 837,230 ETH, worth $3.6 billion as of August 31, 2025. Among these acquisitions is a recent purchase of 39,008 ETH at an average price of $4,531 per ETH, amounting $177 million. SharpLink's at-the-market (ATM) equity program contributed toward the purchase $46.6 million raised from 2.4 million shares sold throughout this period. The business also maintains approximately $71 million in cash reserves for potential future purchases.
SharpLink's concentration ratio of Ethereum treasury to cash climbed to 3.94, a 97% increase since June 2025 launch of its Ethereum-focused treasury plan. Notably, the company has gathered 2,318 ETH in staking rewards via a combination of custodial and liquid staking offerings. With support from prominent investors like Consensys, this emphasis highlights its change from gaming marketing technology to becoming a top institutional venue for Ethereum exposure. Pantera Capital after a $425 million funding round in May 2025 and Galaxy Digital.
SharpLink wants to be the most reliable Ethereum treasury business in the world under the direction of Joseph Lubin Chairman and Joseph Chalom CEO. Fighting against institutional peers like BitMine, which controls 1.7 million ETH, the corporation has cemented its ranking among the biggest corporate holders of Ethereum, hence its aim to head institutionally managed financial driven on blockchain.
