“Samurai 8” chapter 31 has been titled “This Wasn’t the Deal,” and it will feature Hachimaru, Sen, and the rest of the group, finally making it to the ship where Benkei was hoping to launch an attack to destroy the tournament planet. Sen asked Hachi for help to catch Benkei, but it seems that it is not an easy task.
Even if Sen was able to collect Benkei’s memory in “Samurai 8,” it appears that it is not helpful as they were not able to grasp the enemies’ next move. Now the danger is still on, and the cubic warheads could be launched at any time. While they were able to get to the ship in last week’s “Infiltration” chapter, Benkei proved to be hard to defeat.
Benkei comes face-to-face with Kotsuga
“Samurai 8” chapter 31 will show Benkei getting ready to launch a missile. He is preparing to fire, but Benkei’s men saw him at once. As things are getting heated up and Hachi and his group are closing in, Benkei activates his plan C, which means he combined Yoshitsune’s key with his own ship, and this, in turn, will activate a trap.
He succeeded, and while everyone was trapped, Kotsuga was left alone. Benkei saw him, and he was asked to choose sides. Kotsuga told him that he already knows he killed his parents, but Benkei is unfazed and asked him again if he will choose to be with him so he can live.
Benkei is clearly threatening him in “Samurai 8” chapter 31, and since he has no ally anymore, he is hoping Kotsuga will return to his side and serve him once more. If he insists on being with Hachi and the rest, he will die; thus, Kotsuga draws his sword and slashes it in Ryu’s direction. It is not certain what his action means.
Release date
“Samurai 8” chapter 31 titled “This Wasn’t the Deal” is set to be released on Dec. 22. There will be scan copies already available by Dec. 20, so more spoilers are ready before the chapter officially arrives. Otakukart reported that this could be read through Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump Issue #3.
