For a while now, the name for the Samsung foldable Galaxy phone has been unclear because of other devices being produced by the company. At first, everyone thought the foldable phone was going to be dubbed the Samsung Galaxy X.
However, it was later revealed that Samsung Galaxy X will be the name of the company’s first-ever smartphone that is geared towards mobile gamers. As for the Samsung foldable Galaxy phone, it seems that it’s going to be called Samsung Galaxy F, with the letter F perhaps standing for “foldable,” BGR reported.
Whatever the case, it seems the company will be pushing out two new phones on top of its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. What’s more, the Samsung foldable Galaxy phone has been categorized by a tipster as “super high” in the company's product range.
The Samsung foldable Galaxy phone is rumored to be priced at around $1,850. This is quite the jump from the company’s Galaxy S and Galaxy Note, which are valued at around $800 to $1000.
The super high-end Samsung foldable Galaxy phone is certainly not marketed for the general masses and perhaps the company is making it for a certain class. This is not unheard of since Samsung is apparently going to create more devices geared towards the Chinese market.
As rumors have it, Samsung is going to be producing a Galaxy R and a Galaxy P series that are going to be sold in China. The marketing department of the South Korean conglomerate will certainly have its hands full promoting all these devices, with the Samsung foldable Galaxy phone being the toughest one to sell given its price.
As of now, the company has yet to confirm that the Samsung foldable Galaxy phone will indeed be named Galaxy F. It also hasn’t announced the official price for this device, which would be the first of its kind on the market.
