Sam Heughan has been active on social media and he makes sure to update fans about what he is up to. One of his most recent posts made fans wonder if he has a secret project and they assumed that this could be the reason why he had to cancel his appearance in the “Outlander” New Jersey con in Seracrus this weekend.
Sam Heughan already canceled his appearance in last month’s “Outlander” Las Vegas con and now he cannot make it as well to NJ. He is obviously busy and has overlapping schedules but fans are curious to know what exactly is eating up his time aside from promotion schedules for his newly released movie, “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”
Well, it was recently revealed that Sam Heughan is set to film for another movie, titled “Bloodshot,” and it appears that he is gearing up for another movie filming that is set to be his third as of now. However, it is not exactly sure if the other project aside from “Bloodshot” is really a movie. Fans just made a guess after seeing the actor’s update on his Instagram.
Fansided notes that Sam Heughan does not need to give a hint for “Bloodshot” so the "secret" project could be a film with Vin Diesel. But details for this project, except that it is a comic book adaptation, are still not available.
In his Instastory post, Sam Heughan wrote that he had been sitting in a car for hours already and he mentioned that he could not disclose his location. This info further fueled guesses that it is a new project since everyone already knows that filming for “Bloodshot” is taking place in South Africa. In any case, fans are hoping that Sam Heughan will reveal his secret project soon.
As for the New Jersey con, it is said that only Caitriona Balfe is expected to attend as both Tobias Menzies and Steven Cree have also canceled their appearances. The website for the convention already changed the poster for the “Outlander” event and it now features just Balfe.
Meanwhile, “Outlander” season 4's premiere is near and Sam Heughan teases fans with major spoilers. He said that Claire and Jamie have gone through tough times but this time, they will finally get to spend a peaceful time as a married couple.
“All Jamie really wants is to settle down and become the Laird that he’s supposed to be and in America, he finds that place, with his true love by his side,” Express quoted Sam as saying.
He further shared, “The season has a real new look to it. We’re shooting for North Carolina and it is surprisingly similar to Scotland in many ways, maybe because we’re shooting in Scotland, but it really does look like America.”
