“SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4 is going to be the start of a new journey for Jason (David Boreanaz) and his kids now that Alana (Michaela McManus) is gone. While it’s definitely going to be difficult for the kids accepting the loss of their mother, it’s going to be a whole different struggle for Jason, Carter Matt reported.
As such, the veteran operative will choose to take things slow for a while in order to grieve and go through the emotional journey that people endure when they lose someone they love. Meanwhile, in “SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4, Jason’s team will be heading over to Mumbai for a rescue operation involving a U.S. foreign service officer in the hands of radicals.
But Jason’s decision to stay sidelined will come with a consequence, which, as Boreanaz hinted, is another life. “There are more people to be lost, I’ll tell you that, in the next four or five episodes,” Boreanaz told TVLine. The actor added that Jason will be receiving news that will allow him to rejoin his team. “SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4 is certainly going to be a nail-biter and audiences will need to prepare for another death that will further throw Jason into an emotional turmoil.
Boreanaz said that Jason will have to go through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. It goes without saying that this phase will not be covered in “SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4 all at once.
Instead, the journey will bleed over to future episodes as Jason and his family slowly heal from the death of Alana. As such, the action sequence will not be the only tension-filled scenes in the upcoming episodes since Jason and Emma (Kerri Medders) will have several moments of their own, where they’ll be in a heavy dialogue. Indeed, the preview for “SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4 features some of this emotional conflict, which will continue for the rest of the installment.
Boreanaz himself praised how Medders portrayed the heartbreak of a teenager who just lost her mother. The actor added that Jason’s journey with his daughter is filled with a heavy agony, and these sequences will be among the highlights of this installment. “SEAL Team” Season 2 Episode 4, titled “All That Matters,” will air on Oct. 24 and will kick-start the grieving process of the Hayes household.
