“Rick and Morty” Season 4 might still be a long way off, but fans can rest easy in knowing that there will likely be six to seven more seasons of their favorite adult cartoon. The show has been a phenomenal hit due to the witty writing, crazy visuals, and of course, the music. As of now, it would appear that the tunes are still an issue, but the show’s composer talks a bit about this particular subject.
As Tech Advisor notes, the show has already been renewed for 70 more episodes by Adult Swim. If “Rick and Morty” Season 4 has 10 episodes and all the other seasons have similar numbers, it’s likely that the animated series will go on for seven more years. This is the ideal scenario, as well, since creating each season seems to take several years.
In any case, Mr. Poopybutthole already told fans in the season 3 finale that they shouldn’t expect “Rick and Morty” Season 4 for “a really long time.” Fortunately, it would appear that this refers to late 2019 if what Producer Ryan Ridley said was true.
For the most part, however, production for “Rick and Morty” Season 4 seems to be going well. The creators have already started voice recordings, the show’s co-creator Dan Harmon revealed on Instagram back in August. By now, the show should be much further along.
With regards to the music for “Rick and Morty” Season 4, it would appear that composer Ryan Elder is also getting there, Inverse recently reported. Elder is basically responsible for much of the tunes that can be heard in the show, including the fan-favorite “Get Schwifty” episode. He is currently busy finding new sounds and producing new music for the upcoming season.
If his past work is any indication, “Rick and Morty” Season 4 is in good hands, as far as the music is concerned. As for everything else, when has this show ever disappointed?
