Recovery in UK industrial sector probably ran out of steam in Q1

March's industrial production figures (09.30 BST) are set to confirm that the sector's recovery ran out of steam in Q1. 

In its preliminary estimate of Q1 GDP, the ONS assumed that industrial production stagnated in March. 

Capital Economics says since it is not out of line with the latest manufacturing surveys, does not anticipate that the estimate for March is likely to be revised.
