The first official teasers for the Realme GT 2 series have been released, but they do not look like the renders that were leaked last month. However, a prolific leaker claims phones with both these designs are in the pipeline, adding that the Realme GT 2 series will have three variants.
Several promotional images for the Realme GT 2 series were unveiled this week, showing a stylish phone with a rectangular camera bump with three sensors in the tech company’s partnership with Vogue Italia. While the Realme GT 2 design looks impressive, many fans were surprised because it does not look anything like the renders leaked by Steve Hemmerstoffer in late November.

However, Hemmerstoffer maintains that the phone in the renders he leaked is also underway, and it is just one of the Realme GT 2 phones to launch in 2022. The tipster, also known as OnLeaks, said on Twitter that the renders he shared, which looked similar to Huawei Nexus 6P, is the lineup’s model with specifications focused on camera performance.
OnLeaks adds that there will be a regular Realme GT 2 model, while the device shown in the Vogue Italia photos would be called Master Edition. Currently, it is unknown if the standard Realme GT 2 will look like any of both devices.
While the company has yet to confirm this claim, it is worth noting that Vogue Italia does refer to the device as the “Realme GT 2 series,” suggesting there will be multiple models to be released. It is unclear if the camera-focused variant will be the one called Realme GT 2 Pro. But the exact model name was previously used in a Twitter hashtag by Realme CEO Sky Li. The company exec also confirmed that the GT 2 Pro is poised to be their “first and most premium flagship phone.”
Realme fans can still find the leaked renders from OnLeaks through this 91Mobiles report. The publication also shared some of the possible technical specifications of the “Realme GT 2 Pro” flagship phone. It is expected to sport a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display and two 50MP cameras and a GR Lens on the back. The Realme GT 2 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while the entire series will be officially launched in China on Jan. 4, 2022.
