SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 01, 2018 -- Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity company, today announced that Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Stan Schneider, will be delivering the keynote presentation at the Industrial Internet Consortium’s (IIC) IIoT Energy Forum on Friday, February 9.
Schneider will deliver his keynote presentation on behalf of the IIC, from 9:55-10:25 a.m. ET, discussing the recent strides and progress made by the organization. This one-day public Forum is part of the IIC’s Global Event Series, and is the first event in the Series. Offered in partnership with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and hosted by IIC Steering Committee member The MITRE Corporation, the Forum will bring together global energy leaders to discuss requirements, gaps and opportunities for leveraging the data that is building up within and around our energy systems, and to use that data to increase production and decrease costs.
The IIC and NIST’s activities in the energy sector will also be explored—shining a spotlight on smart grids, industrial analytics, security and more. The Global Event Series will offer executive keynote presentations, panel discussions on testbeds, security, standards and architecture, testbed demonstrations and networking opportunities to accelerate adoption of the industrial internet.
The Industrial Internet Consortium is the world’s leading organization transforming business and society by accelerating the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). RTI joined the IIC in 2014 as an initial member. Schneider currently serves as a member of the organization’s Steering Committee and serves on the testbed subcommittee. RTI co-chairs the IIC connectivity, data management, interoperability, ecosystem and security teams. RTI also leads testbeds in smartgrid, healthcare and edge intelligence.
