As the four-week moving average increased to 23,750 jobs per week for the period ending September 19, 2026, private sector employment creation showed fresh strength. Based on the NER Pulse data published in the ADP Weekly Employment Change report, this signals an increase from the last four-week average of 20,000 jobs each week as of September 12.
The most recent data show a steady increasing trend in employment growth, hence the fifth week in a row that the private sector has seen speeding hiring. This steady increase points to constant resilience in labor demand as companies keep increasing their staff count in spite of more general economic instability and shifting market circumstances.
These numbers are still preliminary as high-frequency estimates based from ADP's payroll processor data. As more economic information is gathered and included into the next monthly ADP National Employment Report, they may be changed.
