‘Prison Break’ season 5’s episode 8, titled “Progeny,” is set to follow Michael and Lincoln as they enlist the help of Sheba and C-Note to locate and catch Poseidon after realizing that Sara and her son’s lives are in grave danger.
The lengthy synopsis for episode 8 posted on Cartermatt reads, “When Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and her son’s safety is threatened, Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) recruit the help of Sheba (Inbar Lavi) and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) to try and catch Poseidon (Mark Feuerstein).
Meanwhile, Whip (Augustus Prew) goes on a separate mission and T-Bag (Robert Knepper) reveals a secret.”
The penultimate episode will follow Michael and Lincoln as they do everything in their power to defeat Jacob Anton Ness a.k.a. Poseidon once and for all after realizing the great threat to Sara and her son’s life. The brothers will enlist Sheba and C-Note’s help for the mission. Considering the episode 8’s titled, it seems that the new installment will focus a great deal on Sara and her child.
The previous episode, titled "Wine Dark Sea," featured the much-anticipated reunion between Michael and Sara. Although he was poisoned with anti-freeze, a physician managed rescue Michael before it was too late with Sara’s help. Michael also found out that the person who was out to kill him was actually Sara’s new husband.
Meanwhile, it seems that the action-packed serial drama may have a bright future ahead as season 5 comes to a close. According to TV Line, Fox Television Group CEO Dana Walden revealed, “We would definitely consider doing more episodes… I know [the producers] are thinking about it.”
‘Prison Break’ season 5’s episode 8, titled “Progeny,” is scheduled to air on Fox on May 23, 2017. It will be followed by episode 9, titled “Behind the Eyes,” expected to be released on May 30.
