Polish retail sales data for the month of June is set to release this week. According to an Erste Group Research report, retail sales are expected to have grown 7.9 percent year-on-year, underpinned by the favourable situation on the labor market and record-high consumer sentiment BWUK that came in at 9.6 in June.
Overall, retail sales growth in the second quarter is likely to be stronger on average when compared to the first quarter 2019.
“With the addition of this week’s data, the full dataset for 2Q19 will be available and we will follow up with a final now-cast estimate of GDP for 2Q19. Currently, the now-cast points to growth dynamics above 5 percent in 2Q19”, added Erste Group Research.
