'Pokemon Go' Latest News Update: A Batch of Field Research Tasks and a Legendary Pokemon Are Now Available

The first week of October has brought excitement to the loyal "Pokemon Go" players. Yesterday, Niantic as rolled out a new batch of Field Research tasks in the mobile game. Apart from that, players have a chance to catch a Legendary Aurora Pokemon, Suicune.

What is Suicune in "Pokemon Go?"

Every month, "Pokemon Go" players are expecting something new in the mobile game. Suicune is one of the three Legendary dogs. It was first introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver, alongside Raikou and Entei. Both previous pokemons were featured in August and September's Field Research tasks.

How to catch Suicune in "Pokemon Go?"

Of course, every player wants to get a Legendary Pokemon like this. To encounter Suicune, players will first need to achieve a Research Breakthrough-this can be by collecting seven stamps, one of which is doled out each day you complete a Field Research task.

Here's good news. Suicune is not the only rare Pokemon you'll be able to encounter through the new set of "Pokemon Go's" Field Research. The official Pokemon website announced players would be able to catch a Spinda with a different fur pattern by completing a certain task. There are players also reporting (via Serebii) that Shiny Krabbies have begun appearing in the wild for the first time, GameSpot reported.

Special Research missions are different from Field Research in "Pokemon Go." Special Research missions are assigned by Professor Willow, while Field Research tasks are distributed at Poke Stops. Just like collecting Berries and other items, you'll collect tasks by spinning the photo disc at certain stops. If you find all the known October Field Research quests, check out this Reddit post.

Players will be motivated to play "Pokemon Go" because apart from new Field Research tasks, "Pokemon Go" players have a new Community Day event to look forward to this month. The event will be held on Sunday, October 21, and features the Steel/Psychic Pokemon Beldum. Niantic prepared another surprise that every player will love as the developer extended one of the bonuses from the Ultra Bonus Event. Now, players will still be able to hatch the region-exclusive Pokemon Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros from 7 km Eggs until October 8.
