There is currently a new event in “Pokemon Go” that fans might want to dive into with gusto. Basically, it centers around fighting Pokemon and there are even some shiny versions of existing Pokemon to catch. Those who have built their repertoire around such critters might want to get a move on before the event ends. The deadline for participation is going to be soon, so it is best to act now.
As GameSpot reports, Niantic has recently kicked off yet another “Pokemon Go” event called Battle Showdown. This means that the stars of the show will be fighting type Pokemon such as Mankey and Machop. Thanks to the absurd levels of creative overdrive in the Pokemon universe, there are a ton of such Pokemon for trainers to choose from and there are new shiny versions of them, as well.
Among the new shiny Pokemon to be caught and trained in “Pokemon Go” are Mankey and Machop shiny versions. For those worried that they will need to spend a ridiculous amount of time just to find these new Pokemon, no need to panic. Niantic has made sure to increase the likelihood of fighting type Pokemon to spawn, so players will only need to spend a less ridiculous amount of time on the task.
On top of the increased appearance of the fighting Pokemon that players can catch in “Pokemon Go”, certain critters can now be taught fighting moves, as well. Anyone with a Poliwrath or a Lucario, for example, can now give their Pokemon new actions to work with. This should help spread the fun a bit more.
This new event in “Pokemon Go” is currently live and will continue to be so until March 12. Aside from the theme itself, there will also be increased rewards during this duration, including more Stardust and experience points. So go have at it.
