‘Pitch Perfect 3’ actress Anna Kendrick expressed her discomfort at the third film’s delay. She admitted that she prefers working back-to-back on film projects.
According to Indian Express, Kendrick prefers working on one film project after another. She is reportedly unhinged at the delay of the third installment of the popular musical comedy film ‘Pitch Perfect’. The film’s production has been put on the backburner and is pushed back from March to September.
During an interview with New York Magazine, the 30-year old American beauty explained that she liked to run a tight schedule. She said, "I don't know... if I'm going to end up in a total tailspin… I like the pace... But I feel like it's not really sustainable. I want to work harder to curate my choices, just so I don't ruin my life."
Kendrick also admitted that life on the set of ‘Pitch Perfect’ would get incredibly chaotic, according to TV3. She recalled, "We could s**t on a canvas, and it would be great… There were times when the music was changing a lot and the powers that be couldn't decide a lot of things until the very last minute. I would have been really stressed about it if there wasn't so much love for what we're doing. I can't totally account for why that is with this movie and not others."
She also admitted that she remained clueless about possible releases for the cinematic series. She did not know if ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ would be the end of the franchise.
Kendrick is set to star in John Krasinski’s upcoming comedy-drama film ‘The Hollars’, scheduled to be released on August 26, 2016. According to Business Insider, Krasinski also offered his thoughts on the actress’ incredible work ethic.
He said, “If you take on eight movies, you’re running the risk that you’re going to diminish your quality level… Anna doesn’t have that problem. She always assures whomever she’s working with that she’s going to knock it out of the park. And that’s incredibly rare.”
‘Pitch Perfect 3’ was originally scheduled for a July 2017 release but was delayed for a December 22, 2017 premiere. It stars Kendrick, Hailee Steinfeld, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow. Elizabeth Banks was originally set to helm the film but dropped out of directorial responsibilities due to scheduling problems.
Banks took over Jason Moore as director for ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ in her directorial debut. The second film was considered a financial success, especially for a first-time director, earning $287.1 million worldwide against a $29 million budget. Despite leaving the director’s chair for the follow-up, she continues to stay on as producer together with Paul Brooks and Scott Niemeyer.
