Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka broke their engagement and the former talk about it for the first time. The heiress to the Hilton hotels opened up during her guest-hosting time in “The Talk” on Nov. 28.
Paris Hilton revealed why she broke up with the "Leftovers" star Chris Zylka. During the show, she said that she is doing great despite her broken 11-month engagement to her fiance and admitted that their marriage was not meant to be so she let it go already.
The split was sort of sudden but Paris Hilton said that she just realized it was not yet time for her to settle down. She also told the other “The Talk” panel members, “I’m just really having my ‘me time.’ I just feel that when I fall in love, I fall in love fast and hard and it was this whirlwind romance.”
She further explained why her wedding is off, “I’ve always been obsessed with Disney stories and love stories and I thought it was going to be my happy ending, and I just realized after time it wasn’t the right decision.”
In any case, TMZ previously reported that Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka actually broke up several weeks ago but they just announced the end of their engagement recently. The couple dated for a year before the 33-year-old actor popped the question in January with an enormous $2 million 20-carat diamond engagement ring.
The proposal took place in Aspen while they were on skiing vacation earlier this year. Since then, Paris Hilton has been busy planning her wedding before it was announced last week that it is off.
At the end of her talk, Paris Hilton said that he still wishes her ex Chris Zylka the best and added, "One day, I would love to get married and have children, but for right now, I'm just focusing on me."
