PUMA will unveil a profile picture (PFP) NFT collection this month dubbed the “Super Puma” to celebrate its 75 years of existence.
The NFT collection is influenced by the Super PUMA comics, first published in the 1970s, which featured a green cat named “Super PUMA.”
The Super PUMA PFP NFT offers a variety of experiences, tokenized access to premium goods, and a direct link to PUMA’s legendary designs.
Super PUMA will be used by PUMA across a variety of products and initiatives, including apparel, plush toys, and comic books, all of which will be accessible to both NFT holders and non-NFT holders.
According to PUMA Chief Brand Officer Adam Petrick, they listen to what their growing Web3 community wanted, and the Super PUMA PFP NFT is the result of that.
It also embodies the company's brand credo, Forever Faster, which draws on its past and history to advance sport and culture through design and innovation.
Owners of the Nitro Collection NFTs get first-come, first-served access to the Super Puma PFP NFT. These PFPs are distributed to Nitro Collection owners in proportion to the number of Nitro NFTs they possess.
There would be 10,000 units to be offered in the Super PUMA collection, of which 4,000 would be airdropped to Nitro Collection owners in late February, 2000 would be reserved for the 10KTF Community, and the remaining 4,000 could be purchased by anybody on the waiting list.
