Ainz Ooal Gown defeated the Giant of the East and the Demon Snake of the West in the last episode of "Overlord" Season 3. The great Ainz Ooal Gown even had time to ask about the dinner menu for a party he had planned after defeating the great beasts.
Unfortunately, even with the massive victory on Ainz Ooal Gown's part, it seems that Carne Village will be getting a serious attack from enemy forces in "Overlord" Season 3 Episode 5. It looks like this episode is set to give fans of the series another massive battle, but one that the heroes might not be able to win.
"Overlord" Season 3 Episode 5's preview trailer shows a mass of forces getting ready to besiege Carne Village. The village's own militia stands ready to defend it but a serious threat is revealed. It would seem that the village will be attacked by two large trolls which seem to successfully break through the village's siege defenses.
We are shown the town's chief, Enri, being chased by the trolls, and in another scene, Nfirea, Enri's husband, is shown to be badly beaten. The fate of the characters is not revealed but if the threat is as dangerous as it seems, we may be seeing some characters potentially seriously injured in “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 5.
Thankfully, those who have seen episode 4 may remember that Lupusregina, Ainz Ooal Gown's werewolf battle maid, is on the way to the village with reinforcements. Fans are left to wonder if Lupusregina will get to Carne Village in time to stop the trolls from overwhelming the local forces.
“Overlord” season 3 Episode 5 will air on Aug. 8 following the series' once-a-week schedule. Fans can look forward to watching the series on Crunchyroll dependent on the viewers' region.
