“Outlander” season 4 is almost here and as the release date comes close, some of the cast members have opened up about their roles in the upcoming installment. The interviews actually made fans more excited because the more they share details, the more spoilers are revealed.
The latest cast member to spill secrets about “Outlander” season 4 is Sophie Skeleton. She plays Brianna “Bree” Fraser, daughter of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and her character is already a grown-up lady because she time-traveled to the period when her parents were just starting to build their home.
The actress shared that in “Outlander” season 4, her character will grow up more. “Season 4 is really when you see Brianna come into herself and she’s really becoming a woman now and her own person,” Sophie told Entertainment Tonight. “She runs into a lot of new faces, a lot of old faces and there’s a lot of taking care of everyone around her. But at the same time, she also needs some taking care of herself because there’s a lot that happens to her.”
She added that fans will see more of Brianna and Roger Wakefield MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) when “Outlander” season 4 premieres. In the previous season, the two were just in the early stage of their relationship, and in the upcoming installment, their bond is on a new level and it became stronger. In fact, Sophie said that they will have their intimate moments now.
The scene is a bit intense, and the 24-year-old actress disclosed that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe gave her advice on how to go about her first intimate scene. Sophie said that her on-screen parents told her to “get drunk” and apparently this was spoken in jest.
But then Sam and Caitriona provided real advice when they told her, "You almost have to approach it in the way that you would an action scene, you know? It’s very choreographed, they’re not always as sexy as they look.”
Meanwhile, “Outlander” season 4’s plot will tell the story of Jamie and Claire as they finally reunite and settle down in America. Although they are now in a different country, they will still face difficulties as new challenges arise. On the other hand, Brianna is living in the 20th century but she decided to enter the Standing Stones to find her parents and warn them about the danger that is about to come.
As per Starz, “Outlander” season 4 is set to premiere on Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.
