DOHA, Qatar and REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Oct. 24, 2017 -- iPass (NASDAQ:IPAS), a leading provider of global mobile connectivity, has announced that Ooredoo Global Services, the wholesale arm of world’s fastest growing telecommunications company Ooredoo, will be providing global Wi-Fi services to its customers across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia using the iPass SmartConnect™ SDK. The service is set to launch in Q1 2018.
Ooredoo plans to offer its 138 million customers, located across 10 countries, access to global Wi-Fi either as a standalone service or as part of existing mobile roaming packages. The new service will provide Ooredoo customers with simple, secure and unlimited Wi-Fi access to millions of hotspots worldwide. Through offering global Wi-Fi, Ooredoo aims to provide a leading digital experience to its customers across the company’s footprint.
