New Brighton, MN, March 19, 2018 -- ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa) and SABS (South African Bureau of Standards), signed a Memorandum of Understanding in March of 2016. This MOU mandates that SABS verify that only products compliant with SANS (South African National Standards) are entering the South African market. As a result, a valid SABS EMC Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is required to enter the market. A new approval program for 3rd party laboratories was implemented which requires an on-site audit to verify compliance of the test laboratory for SANS and EMC regulations.
