It is now becoming clearer what the chapters before the start of Wano arc’s third act will tackle, and that is to keep manga fans up to speed on the latest events in the other parts of the world. Act 3 is unlikely starting in “One Piece” chapter 958, but it might also offer a special update on the fan-favorite character, Jinbe.
‘One Piece' chapter 958 predictions: Manga returns to Whole Cake Island and could feature Jinbe
Jinbe is the latest addition to the Straw Hats crew and proved to be an asset to Luffy’s group during the Whole Cake Island arc. With help from the Sun Pirates, Jinbe played an important role in clearing the path for the Thousand Sunny to safely escape Big Mom and proceed to Wano. Now, there are speculations that Jinbe might be preparing to fulfill his promise of meeting the Straw Hats in Wano in “One Piece” chapter 958.
However, it can be recalled that Jinbe’s condition was actually left unknown in a cliffhanger. After clearing the way for the Sunny, Jinbe and the Sun Pirates were not able to leave before Big Mom arrived at Cacao Island. Whether there was an encounter or not is unknown. And while Jinbe’s reappearance in “One Piece” chapter 958 is one of the possibilities, fans should hope that he did not meet any danger after Luffy and the rest of the crew sailed to Wano.
Many readers are certainly expecting the start of act 3 soon where Luffy and his allies will raid Kaido’s residence in Onigashima. But, as mentioned, Eiichiro Oda appears to be taking his time to show the events in other parts of the world before the war in Wano erupts. It then makes sense for the manga to return to Whole Cake Island in “One Piece” chapter 958 where an update on Jinbe most likely awaits. If Jinbe is in a good state, fans might be seeing him preparing to meet Luffy in Wano.

There is also a possibility that “One Piece” chapter 958 will pick up directly where chapter 957 ended. Sakazuki and Sengoku deduced that many of the most powerful pirates from the past and in the present have connections to Wano.
However, whatever or whoever is holding these connections together is too important of a revelation to be tackled during an intermission in the Wano arc. “One Piece” chapter 958 will be officially released on Sunday, Oct. 6.
