Manga readers are now waiting for the 955th installment of “One Piece.” That chapter count just shows that this series already has a vast history, but also having so much more to reveal. In the case of “One Piece” chapter 955, there is growing speculation that Zoro could be related to Ryuma.
‘One Piece’ chapter 955 predictions: Are Zoro and Ryuma related?
Fans expect so much from Zoro coming into the Wano story arc. The isolated country’s history involves several notable swordsmen, including Ryuma. In fact, the Shusui sword that was given by zombie Ryuma to Zoro is considered a national treasure of the country. In chapter 954, Zoro agreed to return the Shusui to Wano through Hiyori in exchange for Oden’s Enma sword. Zoro also mentioned he is going to visit Ryuma’s grave that can be expected as one of the events in “One Piece” chapter 955.
Now, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Zoro’s adventure in “One Piece” chapter 955 might have been foreshadowed at a much earlier time in the series. Reversing the chapter’s numbers, Redditor u/MeddYatek reminded other readers that the cover page of chapter 559 was Zoro at a graveyard, standing in front of a giant cross and a sword set upright the same grave Zoro was staring at.
Given that Zoro mentioned going to Ryuma’s grave by the time of “One Piece” chapter 955, these similarities are most likely not a coincidence. With that, Eiichiro Oda once again left “One Piece” fans in awe.
Meanwhile, this connection can still mean anything. But the most common speculation at this point is that Zoro could be a descendant of Ryuma. Otherwise, the least fans can expect in “One Piece” chapter 955 is more revelations about Zoro’s backstory.
‘One Piece’ chapter 955 release date: Manga on hiatus
On a regular week, the raw scans of “One Piece” chapter 955 should have been leaked. However, fans will have to sit on the above-mentioned plot prediction for much longer because the manga series is currently on a break.
Aside from Zoro’s imminent story, there are many things to anticipate in the next chapter as the Fire Festival draws near. “One Piece” chapter 955 should be released on Sunday, Sept. 15.
