The raid of Onigashima, probably one of the biggest events in the Wano arc, is happening very soon. To give the protagonists a better chance at winning, fans are likely hoping that Luffy will finally master the Busoshoku Haki in “One Piece” chapter 955.
‘One Piece’ chapter 955 prediction: Can Luffy finally conjure a Busoshoku Haki?
Shortly after Luffy met Hyogoro in Udon, the two started training so the Straw Hat captain can learn to use the Busoshoku Haki at will. In chapter 954, every member of the alliance vs. the Beasts Pirates was preparing for the upcoming attack on Onigashima while Luffy was still with Hyo training. This could be foreshadowing the importance for Luffy to master this type of Haki in “One Piece” chapter 955 or in future installments.
The Busoshoku Haki is not a very rare form of Haki as many characters are known users of it. Essentially, it works as a very strong invisible shield that Luffy thinks he needs it against Kaido. The Straw Hat captain faced Kaido earlier in this arc and learned then that not even Gear Third and Gear Fourth can weaken the Yonko in his drunken state. With that much weight on mastering this Haki, it would not be surprising to see Luffy still trying so hard to learn it in “One Piece” chapter 955.
‘One Piece’ chapter 955 release date, spoilers: Fire Festival, Onigashima raid happening soon
Chapter 954 did not have any fight scene, but it was still a thrilling installment as the protagonists’ preparations come together for their biggest goal at this point. As established earlier in the arc, they will attack Kaido’s hideout in Onigashima at the peak of the Fire Festival. However, there is also a possibility that it would not happen yet in “One Piece” chapter 955.
By the end of chapter 954, there are still five days left before the attack. In the manga timeline, events in five days can unfold in tens of chapters. But with more enemies arriving before the Fire Festival, fans can at least expect “One Piece” chapter 955 to further hype the upcoming Onigashima raid.
Unfortunately, it is confirmed that the manga will take another week of hiatus. Instead of this coming Sunday, “One Piece” chapter 955 will be released on Sept. 15.
