‘One Piece’ Episode 877 Air Date, Spoilers: Craziest Escape Scene, Memories and Memorable Meals

It is taking quite a long time and it would seem that “One Piece” Episode 877 will still be featuring the attempt by the Straw Hats to finally escape Cake Island. As things stand, it would appear that the animators are really trying to drag this part out for as long as possible. This isn’t to say that it is boring, though, since there are a lot of interesting things happening in the meantime.

As TheAnimeScrolls reports, “One Piece” Episode 877 will still be about Luffy and his friends trying to get away from Big Mom’s pirates who are doing their best to capture them. Thanks to the efforts of Jinbei and Sanji’s family, it’s beginning to look like the Straw Hats will finally be getting away. However, the upcoming episode still has a lot of things it wants to say.

To start with, “One Piece” Episode 877 will feature Pudding’s reflections with regards to Sanji. The cook will also have his own sense of sentimentality as he decides to cook in memory of Pedro. Meanwhile, Big Mom will have finally finished her cake and will be arriving on the scene. Suffice it to say, this is going to be one crazy episode.

On that note, many are arguing that this arc has been dragging out for a long time. While it is true that the Cake Island arc is comprised of a lot of themes that needed a lot of episodes to cover, it’s just getting strained now. Luffy and his friends will need to escape soon or fans will revolt, either in “One Piece” Episode 877 or in the episode after it.

One can only hope that “One Piece” Episode 877 will at least confirm that the escape will finally happen in the episode following that one. This will make it's March 24 air date more bearable.
