'One Piece' Episode 855 Air Date, Spoilers: Will Luffy Finally Unleash Gear Fourth Technique Against Katakuri?

“One Piece” episode 855 looks to finally be the last episode that Luffy will have to deal with Katakuri. The show's Cake Island escape arc has been going on for the past six episodes since Pedro's sacrifice made it possible for the Thousand Sunny to make it to open sea.

But it has been five episodes with Luffy still in the mirror-world, his face being beaten by Katakuri and his Mochi technique. “One Piece” episode 855's preview trailer re-emphasizes the fact that Luffy is unable to beat Katakuri and his fighting style. The trailer also teases fans that Katakuri will now be able to defeat Luffy with his relentless attacks.

Of course, fans – especially those who also follow the manga – do not have to expect Luffy actually dying at the hands of Katakuri. There is still a very small chance that Luffy might not need to use the Gear Fourth technique as fans will also remember that Nami may hold the key to Luffy's escape from the mirror-world. But hopefully, Luffy finally takes the hint that if he doesn't use his Gear Fourth Technique now, regardless of whether it could take down Katakuri or not, his chances of getting out of the mirror-world in “One Piece” episode 855 are slim.

In addition to Luffy's big fight with Katakuri, the Straw Hat Pirates are still not safe in “One Piece” episode 855 as Perospero has returned beside Big Mom. As the chase continues, fans will hopefully get treated to seeing other members of the Thousand Sunny's crew stepping up. Other crew members, such as Jinbei, have already pitched in the effort to evade Big Mom's grasp. Who knows who will be next in stopping Big Mom from catching up to the Thousand Sunny.
