As expected, Luffy ends up in prison. More specifically, he landed in the same cell as Eustass Kid. This development provides a bigger chance that a prison break is brewing once the Wano arc continues in “One Piece” chapter 925.
It is very likely that “One Piece” chapter 925 will feature some sort of a catching-up sequence between Kid and Luffy. So fans can expect some flashbacks focused on Kid.
On the other hand, Kaido promised to break Luffy’s spirits in prison and later make him a subordinate. Of course, it is impossible for Luffy to genuinely side with Kaido but the latter will certainly try. So Luffy might be subjected to forced labor in “One Piece” chapter 925, which was also promised by Kaido’s men.
Right now, Kid is Luffy’s best option and practically his only reachable ally. After being jailed for years, Kid is still loathing Kaido and would most likely grab any chance of escaping so seeing a prison break is not out of the equation. But there is a tiny chance that it will happen in “One Piece” chapter 925.
“One Piece” chapter 925 marks the start of Wano arc part 2. It took 16 chapters to narrate the first part so a scene as intense as escaping Kaido’s prison might not take place until after a few more installments.
It is also important to note that, while Luffy and Kid’s prison break is probably inevitable and definitely a highlight, there are other aspects of the arc that still need to be tackled. Hopefully, some of these will be answered in “One Piece” chapter 925.
For one, chapter 924 showed an unknown character who was wearing a mask and playing a musical instrument inside their own prison cell. There are several speculations as to who this person could be but it is safe to bet that he or she is one of the three samurais essential to make Kin’emon’s plans happen. “One Piece” chapter 925 might hold the answer to this mystery.
After finishing the first act of the Wano arc, the manga will take a well-deserved one week break. “One Piece” chapter 925 will be released along with Weekly Shonen Jump No. 52, which is expected to come out on Nov. 26.
