There are many mysterious things happening in Wano, starting with how Luffy found the right way to enter the country in the beginning of this arc. In “One Piece” chapter 919, some theories suggest that more mysteries surrounding its people could be explored at the mention of "Wano's ghosts" in the previous chapter.

For a brief recap, Luffy, Zoro, Kiku, and Tama have all successfully escaped Holdem and Speed. Meanwhile, Law also defeated Hawkins in their mini battle. The previous chapter concluded with a cliffhanger announcing the protagonists will be traveling to the Ruins of Oden Castle to meet “Wano’s ghosts” in “One Piece” chapter 919.

In the final illustration, manga creator Eiichiro Oda named five graves belonging to Oden, his 8-year-old son Momonosuke, and their retainers Kinemon, Raizo, and Kanjuro. All these names, except for Oden, are still alive as of the arcs where they last appeared. So this is where the first mystery in “One Piece” chapter 919 begins.

Otakukart shared several theories that would explain these graves in “One Piece” chapter 919. One of the most interesting speculations is that one (or some) of these characters named in the graves have the ability, through a Devil Fruit, to travel to the future.

The Wano ghosts are suggested to be linked to some sort of time traveling powers in “One Piece” chapter 919. If that would be the case, it would explain why the remaining Kaizo clan retainers did not age after more than two decades or how Momonosuke previously implied that he has met Gol D. Roger. Note that, in the current timeline, Momonosuke is just 8 years old while Roger died over two decades ago.

However, another theory presented was more insane. The possibility of Oden being alive is being considered for “One Piece” chapter 919. The report suggests that the former daimyo of the Kuri district was not killed and is hiding while he and his retainers are gathering enough forces and allies to defeat Jack the Drought and Kaido and free the people of Wano.

Whatever it is that will be revealed about the Wano ghosts, Law and Zoro promised Luffy that he is “in for a surprise.” The same can be said for fans who will be finding out more about this cryptic castle in “One Piece” chapter 919, which will be officially released on Oct. 1.
