“One Piece” chapter 918 might highlight the re-appearance of Jack the Drought now that Luffy has defeated Holdem. With that, the Wano arc just becomes more interesting.

The current manga arc has been building up the hype around Luffy’s encounter with the rulers and fiercest warriors of Wano, who include the headliner Holdem. However, Holdem was surprisingly defeated with a single punch. Now, it seems like “One Piece” chapter 918 will reveal that Jack the Drought is the real formidable enemy that Luffy will be facing soon.

Luffy first learned that Jack the Drought is now out of the bottom of the ocean in chapter 917. This was briefly mentioned in the latest chapter, while Luffy was preoccupied with Holdem and saving Tama. But with Luffy overpowering Holdem with a Red Hawk, the manga series will likely move on with a new featured villain in “One Piece” chapter 918, who happens to be Jack the Drought.

Prior to “One Piece” chapter 918, Kiku was highly hesitant of further disturbing Holdem warning Luffy about Jack the Drought. Kiku told him that Jack the Drought was seen out of the water just days before Luffy arrived in Wano. And if he would destroy Holdem (which he did), Jack will definitely go after them.

Jack the Drought is practically the second in command of the Beasts Pirates next to their captain Kaido. In the Zou arc, the Beasts Pirates disaster went underwater after his ship sank, but he was still alive. He only needed someone to save him because his Devil Fruit makes him powerless in the water. More about his story after the Zou arc might be revealed in “One Piece” chapter 918.

Meanwhile, Kiku confirmed that Jack the Drought is alive, well, and is also in Wano. The samurai narrated that the villain was seen in Wano just days before Luffy arrived. It is very likely that Kiku’s worries will come true in “One Piece” chapter 918 and Jack the Drought will appear to take down Luffy.

Aside from the prospect of seeing Jack the Drought, possible plots in “One Piece” chapter 918 include the fight between Trafalgar Law and Basil Hawkins. Fans have also yet to see the abilities of another headliner, Speed. “One Piece” chapter 918 is officially out on Sept. 22.
