The longer the announcement of “Now You See Me 3” takes, the more time fans have to speculate on the possible storyline for the third movie. Since the film will make the series a trilogy, it only makes sense for the producers and writers to go all-out when it comes to the Horsemen’s next ordeal.
‘Now You See Me 3’ plot predictions, spoilers: Does The Eye have a rival group?
It would make sense for “Now You See Me 3” to focus on The Eye since the sequel released in 2016 ended by leaving fans with so many questions about the elite group just like the Four Horsemen were. Before going any further, note that this will contain heavy spoilers from the first and second movies.
In the first movie, an ancient group of magicians called The Eye was first mentioned. It was suggested that the series of performances of the Four Horsemen were tests they needed to pass to be allowed to join the super exclusive group. The second movie used Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Arthur Tressler (Michael Caine) as the main villains. Aside from these characters, Dylan (Mark Ruffalo) and the Four Horsemen pretty much battled with themselves to be victorious in the end.
The sequel implied that the Four Horsemen and Dylan had been welcomed as new members of The Eye. It then makes sense for these main characters to face new troubles that directly endanger the existence and reputation of the elite group in “Now You See Me 3.” This could be in the form of a rival group of magicians or a government-backed effort to sack the Robin Hoods of the magic world.
‘Now You See Me 3’ updates, release date: Is the movie still in the pipeline?
Aside from the plot of “Now You See Me 3,” fans have been wanting to know if the movie is still planned. The last update about its production came out in 2016. But since then, Lionsgate has been silent, and no reports have come up to suggest that filming is underway.
In case “Now You See Me 3” is released in the future, fans are hoping for the main cast to reprise their roles. The Four Horsemen include Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), and Lula May (Lizzy Caplan). There have also been rumors that the third movie would star Benedict Cumberbatch.
