Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s marriage is allegedly on the rocks. A tabloid reported that the trouble in their relationship was triggered by the fact that the latter was said to have lied about the identity of a “mystery woman” with whom he was seen while at a Wawa convenience store in New Jersey.
It all started when last week, Ruth Reed, a retired teacher, paid for Keith Urban’s items when his credit card was declined at the store. The woman posted her experience about unexpectedly meeting the famous singer and her post supposedly made Nicole Kidman suspicious of her husband.
On her Facebook page, Reed narrated that he bumped into the Keith Urban at the store and offered to pay for his goods but she did not really recognize him at first.
“He thanked me and asked my name. I asked him and he told me it was Keith. I said that he did look like Keith Urban,” she shared. “I didn’t believe him. I asked where Nicole (Kidman) was and who was the lady he was with. He told me it was his sister.”
My favorite story of the day is how my 3rd grade teacher thought @KeithUrban was down on his luck and couldn’t pay for his wawa snacks so she bought them for him. What an angel. pic.twitter.com/mJccVOQWtp

CBS Philly further reported that when they interviewed Reed, she said that when Keith Urban was using his card, “it didn’t go through then he asked a young lady for $5.” The lady being referred to was not identified, so a tabloid labeled her as the "mystery girl" that caused a rift between Nicole Kidman and her husband.
According to In Touch, the country singer said the woman with him was his sister and he said so to conceal her real identity, Apparently, this was troublesome because Keith does not have a sister.
The tabloid wrote that the lie “could have a devastating effect on his already-shaky marriage to Nicole.” It further alleged that “If Nicole found out Keith lied to her about another woman, she’d be furious. Their marriage has been slowly crumbling for a long time, and she’s been struggling to hold it together.”
Gossip Cop stepped in to clear the story. The publication stated that the report was definitely not accurate. While it admitted that Keith’s mention of his supposed sister is confusing, his representative straightened out the rumors by stating that it was actually the star’s assistant and Reed could have just misheard the singer.
