“NCIS” season 16 episode 8 is up next and spoilers for this chapter is now available. This will be the series’ comeback after a short break as it gave way to CBS’ live coverage of the recent midterm elections in the U.S.
“NCIS” season 16 episode 8 will continue with Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team investigating the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps for some crimes being linked to their respective divisions. Subsequently, the story will focus on the deaths of the soldiers that were sent on a mission to Afghanistan.
As per CBS’ press release, “NCIS” season 16 episode 8 is titled “Friendly Fire” and its synopsis reads: “McGee (Sean Murray) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) travel to Afghanistan after a murder case in the states is linked to a string of soldiers killed by friendly fire overseas.”
In addition, “Kasie (Diona Reasonover) leaves the lab and accompanies Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) into the field to process additional forensic evidence.”
The preview clip for “NCIS” season 16 episode 8 was also released and it shows a coffin, covered with the American flag, being brought to the NCIS for Gibbs and his team to investigate. When the remains were handed over, a soldier told Gibbs that it is his duty to bring the captain home and the latter told him that he will do everything to make it happen.
For what seems to be a flashback, some soldiers were shown on the field and fighting. This is probably a scene from the Afghanistan mission that must be investigated now as many soldiers were killed.
