The upcoming final episodes of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 is getting an epic reinforcement in the form of a returning character. This time, it is not just someone from an earlier season or even from the original “NCIS” series. The character coming back is someone from the hit show “JAG.”
Reports have confirmed that actor David James Elliott will once again play his role known as Navy Capt. Harmon Rabb Jr. He is expected to appear in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10’s penultimate episode airing in May.
TV fans who are familiar with the history of the “NCIS” franchise will easily understand why this is a big deal. The legal drama “JAG,” where Elliott's character was the main protagonist, ran from 1995 to 2005 and literally pave the way for the Mark Harmon-led franchise. And it now appears that he has a big role to play in the closing arc of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Elliot will join Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam's (LL Cool J) team in a “multi-episode arc” starting with the May 12 installment. Elliot is then most likely to join the main cast for the “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 finale slated to air in the following week.
Rabb's return will have something to do with his experience in commanding the USS Intrepid. The synopsis for the “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 penultimate episode indicates that a massive threat against US military jets is being planned by ISIS sympathizers. This proves that Rabb's return will be crucial in averting this terror attack.
“Bringing Harmon Rabb to work with NCIS: Los Angeles makes for a formidable coalition, and both entities are going to need all the help they can get when confronted with the greatest challenge of their careers,” said executive producer R. Scott Gemmill. “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 will be on hiatus until Sunday, April 14, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
